About

Life Amazing Society is a community capacity-building organization based in Surrey, British Columbia. We work alongside individuals, families, volunteers, employers, community partners, and funders to remove barriers, expand opportunity, and build stronger communities.

Why We Exist

Every community has extraordinary potential.

Yet many individuals and families continue to face barriers that limit opportunity, stability, and belonging. These barriers may include unemployment, underemployment, housing instability, social isolation, limited access to education and training, digital exclusion, financial insecurity, and systemic inequities.

At Life Amazing Society, we believe these challenges are connected. They cannot be solved through isolated programs alone. They require people-centred, community-driven, and partnership-based solutions.

That is why we exist: to build pathways that help people move from barriers to opportunity, from isolation to belonging, and from uncertainty to resilience.

Our Story

Life Amazing Society began with a simple belief: when people are supported, equipped, and connected, they can build better futures for themselves, their families, and their communities.

What started as a vision to support underserved communities has grown into a nonprofit organization focused on community capacity building, economic mobility, family wellbeing, youth leadership, seniors’ empowerment, and inclusive community development.

Today, our work continues to evolve in response to the real needs of the communities we serve. We are not only delivering programs; we are building systems of support that help people thrive across different stages of life.

Our Mission

To build pathways that empower individuals, strengthen families, and create resilient communities through education, economic mobility, community leadership, social inclusion, and collaborative partnerships.

Our Vision

Thriving, inclusive, and resilient communities where every person has the opportunity to belong, contribute, and flourish.

OUR COMMUNITY IMPACT FRAMEWORK

Building Pathways That Create Lasting Change

Our work is organized around five interconnected pillars. Together, these pillars help us respond to immediate needs while building long-term community strength.

Community Inclusion & Capacity Building

We work with residents, organizations, employers, funders, and government partners to strengthen local networks, remove barriers, and expand opportunities for all.

Strong Families & Healthy Communities

We strengthen family wellbeing through parenting support, wellness education, healthy relationships, community connection, and culturally responsive programming.

Economic Mobility

We support employment readiness, skills development, financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and access to meaningful opportunities..

Seniors Empowerment

We promote healthy ageing, digital inclusion, lifelong learning, social connection, volunteer leadership, and intergenerational participation.

Youth Leadership & Future Readiness

We equip young people with leadership skills, mentorship, STEM exposure, career exploration, civic engagement, and confidence for the future.

Our Connected Approach

How We Create Change

Life Amazing Society uses a connected approach because people’s lives are connected. Employment, family stability, housing, wellbeing, confidence, belonging, and leadership are not separate issues.

Our approach helps people move through a pathway of support:

1    Access Support

We welcome individuals and families through inclusive, respectful, and culturally responsive entry points.

2     Build Skills and Confidence

We provide learning opportunities, practical tools, mentorship, and encouragement that help people grow.

3     Gain Stability and Opportunity

We support pathways toward employment, financial stability, housing navigation, wellbeing, and community participation.

6        Build Stronger Communities

As individuals and families thrive, communities become more connected, inclusive, and resilient.

5      Participate and Lead

We create opportunities for people to volunteer, mentor, advocate, and contribute to community life.

4     Strengthen Families

We help families build resilience, healthy relationships, confidence, and stronger support systems.

WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT

We begin with people—not problems

👂 People-Centred

We listen first and respond to the realities, priorities, and aspirations of the people we serve.

🔗 Partnership-Focused

We bring people, organizations, employers, funders, and institutions together to create greater impact.

🌱 Strengths-Based

We build on people's abilities, experiences, dignity, resilience, and potential.

Future-Oriented

We create pathways that build skills, opportunity, resilience, and long-term possibilities.

◎ Community-Driven

We work with communities—not simply for them—to shape meaningful solutions.

◉ Systems-Aware

We recognize that many barriers are structural and work toward solutions beyond individual circumstances.

Our goal is not simply to deliver services. It is to strengthen people's capacity to shape their futures and contribute to thriving communities.
